“Let us then approach the throne of grace with confidence, so that we may receive mercy and find grace to help us in our time of need.” – Hebrews 4 v 16

I think that this is perhaps one of the most encouraging verses in the Bible. Jesus was human in every way and remembers what it was like to be weary, to get sick, to be tempted over and over from every angle. But he is different from us in that his temptations never led to sin.

And the good news for us is that God appointed Jesus to be our great high priest to be there for us in our times of need. We can come to him confident that he understands our weaknesses and will give us the strength we need to cope, and to repent of our sins, not in a judgmental way but with grace.
